DHB executives reveal spending

DHB chief executives have released figures of their spending during the the six-month period from July to December 2011.

Auckland DHB chief executive Garry Smith spent just $39 for work-related expenses – on car parking fees.

Taranaki DHB chief executive Tony Foulkes topped the list of DHB executives, spending $23,246 – the majority of this on trip expenses to the World Executive Forum in Canada.

ACC executives Jan White and Ralph Stewart spent a total of $31,701.

Kevin Woods, director-general of health, spent $25,205 – around half of this amount being used for travel to Washington DC for a Commonwealth Fund meeting.
