Male pattern baldness is a condition in men that causes the hairline to recede and hair to thin on and around the crown area of the head.

Male pattern baldness is not a medical condition, but it may cause anxiety or loss of self-esteem. It is often caused by hormonal or genetic factors.

  • Hairline gradually recedes backwards forming an 'M' shape
  • Hair becomes finer, thinner and shorter in length
