I trained at Otago Medical School and did my specialist training in Auckland. I completed a two year fellowship in Melbourne to qualify for complex laparoscopic surgery (AGES accreditation). I introduced advanced laparoscopic surgery to North Shore Hospital and lead the Endometriosis Service.

In Melbourne my training had a strong focus on minimally invasive surgery for heavy menstrual bleeding. I am also accredited to perform enclosed bag morcellation of fibroids.
