Bone-strengthening drug could extend life of joint replacements

A drug that strengthens bones could improve the life of joint replacements.

A study of bisphosphonate use in patients who had joint replacements found that after five years 0.96 per cent of replacements failed, compared with 1.96 per cent of those who didn't take bisphosphonate.
