Our villages provide a range of retirement living and care options, including Independent Townhouses & Apartments, Serviced Apartments and a Care Centre providing the very best of Resthome, Hospital & Dementia level care.

The villages are designed and built with stunning architecture concepts, and nestled amongst beautifully landscaped gardens. Established in Christchurch in 1984, Ryman draws on over 20 years of experience to provide the best possible retirement living options for its residents. Our company has expanded to a nationwide operation with 22 operational Retirement Villages from Auckland to Invercargill, providing homes for over 5,400 residents and employing over 2,600 staff.

Take a leisurely walk to enjoy them - there’s plenty of seating provided. Every day, in the village centre we provide a delicious homestyle baked morning and afternoon tea where residents often take the time for a catch up with friends or family during their busy day’s activities. We can offer assistance with even the simplest things which may prove difficult for some.

Our friendly maintenance staff and our housekeepers ensure that the village is kept clean and tidy for you every day, and can even change a lightbulb for you. There is also a regular refuse collection and we often have recycling facilities close by. The communal areas of the village are always kept warm and inviting – you can’t help but notice the fi ne attention to detail in the eye-catching furnishings and artwork. Many of our villages also feature a grand internal atrium, hairdressing and beauty salons, shop, chapel, movie theatre, all weather bowling green, and sparkling, heated indoor swimming pool, with gym facilities and a bubbling spa. If you like to keep up with what’s going on in the world you will always find the daily newspaper in our library – or if you’re a little more high tech you might like to check it out on-line from our residents’ computer!
